The energy of love is one of the highest the world has, and acts of love raise the joy in all of us. Love sets an example for all to follow and aspire to. This design is one that has been used for thousands of years to express deep and everlasting love. The intricate lines of the love know twist and turn but never end - just as the journey of love is one with many twists and turns, but the love itself never ends. What a beautiful expression of love!

Measures 1/2" x 1/2" on a chain.

History of Celtic Knot Work

The use of knot work design is a practice that began early in human history. In the third and fourth century AD knot work designs were used in floor mosaics in the Roman Empire. Celtic knot designs developed from braiding work, which was the use of an unbroken, woven cord design that was used by many cultures around the world. The true unbroken and interconnected knot work that is known as the Celtic knot design began around the 7th century. The style was then spread to Ireland and England.
