Solid Bronze Viking Brooch
This beautiful replica of a Merovingian S-Brooch (S-Fibula) from the 6th century is made after a find from a Germanic cemetery.
The S-Fibula was widespread among the Germanic tribes and used by the Bavarians, Alemannic and Longobards.
This particular Germanic jewellery was a fundamental part of the early Medieval women costume. Therefore, the S-brooch can be found in large numbers in early medieval finds from the 5th to the 7th century.
Dimensions of the Merovingian S-brooch: 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" in size.
Handmade from high-quality golden bronze. On the back of the brooch there is a stable needle attached that also suits to close thick fabric.
