Saint Francis of Assisi Doll

Born in 1182, he loved God’s beauty in the universe and wrote “The Canticle of the Sun.” In imitation of Christ, he left his noble home with only a robe and founded the Franciscan order to seek out the poor. He is the first known person to receive the stigmata including his hands, feet, and side. He is also credited with staging the first Nativity scene.
