Colorful Hand-painted Stained Glass Celtic Window Panel for the wall or window.
This Celtic window art glows in the beautiful colors of the famous stained glass window at St. Giles Cathedral. This striking panel shows two symbols of Scotland. The chained unicorn and Saint Andrew's cross (on the flag of Scotland) tland (the lion rampant) taken from the Oriel window in St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh. This window was designed to commemorate The Order of the Thistle, established in the 1680s by King James VII of Scotland.
The design of this piece is unique because the hand-painted glass is pressed between two acutal glass panels rather than the acrylic or plastic found on most "stained glass" pieces. This gives the piece a beautiful translucent quality that can be appreciated in any window or on any wall! Each piece handmade with beautiful historically accurate detailing. The result is a colorful work of art that will brighten the indoors
Each panel is framed in traditional stained glass lead to protection.
