Thor, the unrelenting god, was charged with protecting Asgard, the divine fortress of the Aesir, the primary tribe of gods and goddesses in Norse mythology. Against the forces of chaos, the giants sought to overthrow Asgard and slay the Aesir, but Thor stood steadfast, wielding his mighty hammer as his weapon.
This hammer was no ordinary tool; when thrown at an enemy, it would always return to Thor's grasp like a boomerang.
