Description
Solid Bronze Viking Brooch
This Viking brooch depicts one of the ravens, Hugin and Munin, who accompanied the Germanic god Odin/Wotan on his ways
The Raven brooch is made from an original find of harness mounts from Gotland/Sweden that date to about 600 AD. Thus, the original historic brooches belong to the Vendel era that immediately precede the Viking period.
The originals of the bird mounts are now in the Statens Historiska Museum in Stockholm.
Viking jewelery can be worn in pairs on the shoulders and used to fasten Viking garments. You can also wear just a single brooch as jewelery or to fasten a scarf or shirt neckline.
The bird brooch is made in high-quality bronze. On the back of the bird brooch is fitted a solid needle.
Dimensions of the brooch: 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" in size.
Handmade from high-quality golden bronze. On the back of the brooch there is a stable needle attached that also suits to close thick fabric.
